Born in Nagaon, Assam, Arnab grew up around insurgency and shifting politics, eventually picking up a Vivitar camera as a way to make sense of it all. Through Sociology at Delhi University and later Cinematography at the Film and Television Institute of India, he carried that instinct forward, taking it on the road, shooting across cities, in the back alleys of oppressed lands, and on faces he could wander into with a backpack.

Currently living between Mumbai and Goa, Arnab works across commercials, music videos, documentaries, and narrative films. His images reflect his politics and philosophy, driven by ADHD restlessness and a never-ending search for honesty.

Outside of film, he works in feline infectious peritonitis and runs the FSGI Foundation & FIP Warriors® India: non-profits dedicated to feline health research and consultancy… another space where attention, ethics, and resistance quietly intersect.
